1. Reading these terms

These Terms & Conditions set the rules for using the Ballast Risk Education website and the educational materials we send out, including the Drawdown Defence Guide and our regular lessons (together, the "Materials"). By using this site or asking us to send you the Materials, you accept everything written here in full.

2. What Ballast is, and what it isn't

Ballast Risk Education Pte. Ltd. produces general financial education for households in Singapore. We are an education company, not a brokerage, dealer, financial adviser, or fund manager, and we never manage money on anyone's behalf.

The Materials contain commentary, frameworks, and illustrative episodes for learning only. They are not tailored to your personal circumstances, financial goals, or risk appetite.

3. Education, not personalised advice

Nothing in the Materials amounts to an offer, solicitation, or tailored urging to acquire, dispose of, or keep any security, fund, REIT, or other financial instrument. Ballast is not licensed by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) to give financial advice, and we make no claim to do so.

Any reference to a market episode, asset class, or historical event is purely illustrative. History does not guarantee what comes next.

4. Risks you accept

You agree to weigh the Materials as one input among several, and to arrive at your own decisions — ideally with a licensed professional where fitting. You accept that investing carries risk, up to and including losing some or all of your capital, and that the results of those choices remain yours alone.

5. Who may sign up

Our Materials are written for readers in Singapore aged 18 and above. By sending us your name and WhatsApp number, you confirm you are at least 18, and you agree to receive the Materials and related educational updates via WhatsApp. You can halt further messages at any moment by replying "stop" to anything we send.

6. Cost

The Drawdown Defence Guide and our periodic lessons are free of charge. We never request card details at any point in registration. Where third-party services (such as WhatsApp itself) carry their own costs or data charges, those stay yours.

7. Stopping messages & contact

You can opt out at any moment by replying "stop" to any WhatsApp message from us, or by writing to us at the contact details below. We will action your request without undue delay.

8. Changes to these terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. The version shown on this page is always the current one, and continued use of the site after a change amounts to acceptance of the updated Terms.
